Jamaican reggae icon Everton Blender is set to entertain music lovers at Mibawa Multipurpose Hall in Blantyre tomorrow.
The artist, who is still in the country following his appearance and performance at the Grand Business Park Reggae Show last month, will be supported by Lucius Banda, Nepman, Johnny Zembani, Tuff Lionz International, Mibawa Band and Sam Smack.
In an interview, Blender said he wants to entertain Blantyre residents, especially those who failed to patronise the Lilongwe show.
“What’s up Malawi? I will be performing at Mibawa Multipurpose Hall with Lucius Banda and Zembani Band on November 18. Make sure to be there,” he said.
In a separate interview, the show’s organiser Ras Ray Harawa said everything is set and Blantyre reggae music fans will be in for a treat.
“Everton Blender is ready. He has been rehearsing and will give a great performance as he usually does,” he said.
Harawa disclosed that Blender loves Malawi so much that he is contemplating making it his second home.
“Of course he will be flying out next week for a show in Kenya, but he will come back. He finds Malawi a great place to live and he enjoys it here; hence, his decision to prolong his stay,” he said.
Everton Blender first performed in Malawi in 1999 at Comesa Hall courtesy of FM 101 Power before returning last month for a performance at Grand Business Park on October 28 alongside Luciano and other local artists.
