Musicians Union of Malawi President (MUM) Vita Chirwa and Secretary General Tony Chitimatima paid a visit to the esteemed musician, Sir Paul Banda, on Tuesday afternoon at Chatha in Blantyre.
Sir Paul Banda had recently relocated to Blantyre temporarily to have easier access to dialysis treatment at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.
He made this decision due to the fuel shortage and other challenges, which hindered him from attending dialysis regularly and adversely affected his health.
Having been on dialysis for three years, Sir Paul Banda is bravely battling kidney problems.
Despite the health challenges, he expressed his longing for the stage and is currently practicing the guitar to rekindle his musical passion after a prolonged hiatus.
Furthermore, during his recovery, Sir Paul Banda revealed his desire to share his musical knowledge and skill by taking up a role in teaching children how to play the guitar.
